Our Pork

Pork was added in 2009 to our farm operation and was a great success–and challenge.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the taste of the pasture/woodland-raised pork, with so many of our customers telling us that they had never had pork so delicious before. Our seven pigs sold out in three weeks. Because of this, we decided to continue our pastured port and expand it.

As with all the other animals, the pigs rotate around the fields on a regular basis, entering a new area every six to eight days. We supplement them with a minimal amount of grain so that we can handle them and move them when needed. It also helps us catch them when they get out on us.
